Four In A Line
Play “Four In A Line” online with players all over the world.
“Four in a Line” is a two-player game in which the players first choose a color and then take turns dropping their colored discs from the top into vertically-suspended grid. The pieces fall straight down, occupying the next available space within the column. The object of the game is to connect four of one’s own discs of the same color next to each other vertically, horizontally, or diagonally before one’s opponent can do so.
There are two variations on the board size, the most commonly used being 7×6, the other being 9×7.

I have a problem with your Bluesky Studios android game Four in a line. Why does a game require 14 permissions on my mobile. This is the worst example out of hundreds of apps I have tried.
It asks for 4 general permissions on download but actually activates the following 14:
Unique IMSI, Unique Device ID, MCC+MNC CDMA, MCC+MNC GSM, Phone Number, Phone Type, Cell Tower Name CDMA, Cell Tower Name GSM, Current Country CDMA, Current Country GSM, Network Type Name, Network Type Code, Network Connected, Radio Type.
A game should only require network connected for updates or a couple of further permissions to be granted to allow online play (Which I will never use) This type of access can easily be misused by hackers and others – a problem that continues to grow. Can you explain Please? Another game of yours is also questionable: Finger Bowling which activates 6 permissions of which there is 1 high risk (Unique Device ID) and 1 medium risk (MCC+MNC CDMA. I have removed these temporarily awaiting your early reply or until reliable software to control all permissions individually is released, thanks.
The permissions are required by AD networks and SNS networks.
@Rodger Glover
You have not answered my question fully, what actual permissions are required for AD and SNS networks (I can accept AD networks (you have to make a living) but not compulsory SNS. Most importantly, why does your game require to know my mobile phone number, for that is a definite no no? That data leaves my phone wide open to abuse in the wrong hands i.e. using that info with other permission data to dial up premium lines or phone abroad. Worse still if your servers are hacked then everyone who has downloaded that game or similar is at risk and don’t say your servers are secure there is no such thing – any system can be hacked eventually.
I would never intentionally use any social networking site from my mobile but do on my home PC which has many levels of high security and encryption and allows me to track what info goes where, and even this access is strictly limited. If I find my mobile number anywhere online I immediately have it changed. I am compiling a list of all the hundreds of phone apps I have tried so far (your game is at number one so far (ie high risk to no risk) with a full breakdown of permissions used against permissions needed for each one (this determined by use of a professional piece of software) which results I intend to post soon to the web for comment by anyone or any organisation interested etc. for I believe that a future version of the Android OS should include the ability for the user to fully control the individual permissions for each app whether the phone is rooted or not, if only for peace of mind. Thank you.
I thank you for your quick response to my query and the details and links you have sent me which will be useful.. You have given me a lot to think about as I did not realise you have to adhere to the rules of some other companies regarding permissions. I appreciate your candour. Thanks again.
Me and my friends like you game. Would you please upgrade it to allow a person to stop playing and still hold his place in the game until he is ready to play again?
